I'm not allowed to edit pre 1500 profiles. According to his family search profile, birth date is 8 March 1469 and lists 5 sources. https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/9WJH-RHY

The Birthdate on the FS profile states there are 5 sources for the entered birthdate, but check out the sources that are shown:
  • 3 are Find a Grave which has no birth date on the page, only a year of 1470
  • 2 are for Netherlands Genealogy Online Trees, both only have a year of 1400 and 1470, and neither are referred to a page with this person on it.

None of those have the date as specified in the FS profile and neither of those are valid for Pre-1500 profiles

Thanks for your quick response. I see what you mean but I have to wonder where such a specific date of 8 Mar 1469 came from.

So do we: wonder ... which is why we try to go beyond the generic databases to locate the primary source record for these stated dates. Some of them are simply 'internet fairy tales,' others can eventually be found.
