Sarah Dowdy, daughter of Thomas Dowdy III (abt.1774-1859) and Sally (Riddle) Dowdy (abt.1774-abt.1863), was born in 1918 in North Carolina. She married James Madison Stedman (1810-1884) 1838. They had 11 known children.
