Walter Downs was born on 9 March 1789 at Shropshire County, England. He married Catharin Suits on 2 June 1816 at Utica, Oneida County, New York. Walter Downs died on 3 June 1859 at New York at age 70. He was buried at R-19-02a, Walnut Grove Cemetery, Wampsville, Madison County, New York. He and Catharin Suits appeared in the census of 20 January 1821 at Smithfield, Madison County, New York. ��Walter Downs and Catharin Suits appeared on the census of 1830 at Verona, Oneida County, New York. Walter Downs and Catharin Suits appeared in the census of 1840 at Lenox, Madison County, New York. Walter Downs appeared in the census of 26 August 1850 at Town of Lee, Oneida County, New York.
