Johannes Dreiling was a Volga German.

Johannes was born in 1764/1766 Russia. Johannes Dreiling passed away in 1821, Herzog, Russia. He was two years old in 1766, making his year of birth 1764, he would have been born on the way to the colony of Louis, Russia.

Frank Dreiling, 30, Catholic, a ploughman arrived at the Louis colony on the 14th day of June 1766, with his wife Barbara age 27, and his son Johannes, age 2, from Wuerzburg, Karlstadt, Bavaria, Germany.[1]

The Dreiling sons migrated from Louis, to Herzog, Michael moved to Rohleder, Johannes remained in Herzog:

Johannes is listed in the 1798 census of Herzog, age 32 (1766) spouse: Anna Maria Vosler/Fossel age 30, two sons: Kasper and Johannes and three daughters: Katarina, Anna Katarina and Anna Maria.[2]

1834 Herzog, Russia census, has Johannes Dreiling born 1766, died 1821.

Research Notes

Baptismal records show they had twin daughters born 24 December 1791: Maria Eva and Anna Maria, they were baptized on the 25th of December. Maria Eva died before 1798.[3]
