Biography

This profile is part of the Driggers Name Study.

Birth

When Emily Driggers was born on July 12, 1819, in Emanuel, Georgia, to William Driggers and Amelia Lastinger.[1] Her father, William, was 42, and her mother, Amelia, was 41.

Marriages

Emily was married twice.Her first husband was Sebastian Mark Tomlinson in 1840.[1] They had eight children in 16 years. He died in 1855 and then she married her second husband Elisha Greene, Jr. about 1855/1856 He was the son of an original settler of what is now Baker County, Florida and was a veteran of the Second Seminole Indian Wars. They married about 1845 most likely in Florida.

Death and Burial

She died in 1905 in Levy, Florida, having lived a long life of 86 years.

Driggers-1260 and Driggers-193 appear to represent the same person because: There are some differences but these are definitely the same person. The marriage date in Driggers-193 is most likely wrong.
