We find a partial record of children of Thomas Duke, Sr.

Mary Duke b.10-10-1674
Sarah Duke, daughter of Thomas Duke, married William Bogue of North Carolina 12-15-1727/28. Thomas Duke (probably Jr.) Nansemond Co. 3-8-1701 "having made a confession of Truth same year, de sounded taking a wife contrary to the Scripture and not of us and going to the priest." Thomas Duke, Sr. sent a letter to this meeting* consenting to the marriage of his daughter Margaret to Moses Hall 11-7-1707/08.

None of the above proves that Moses Hall of Chuckatuck was the father of Moses Hall of Rich Square, but the time is right and it is possible as to location.
Among Friends who came in a body from Trent River Meeting in 1800 to Ohio, we a Bogue. One wonders if the famous Duke family of North Carolina, from whom the University is named, could Have been from this family.
This Indenture made the 22nd day of 2nd Mo. in the 18th year of our Sovereign Lord George 2nd, by the Grace of God, King of Great Britain, France and Ireland, defender of the Faith and in the year of our Lord Christ 1744.
