Biography
Joseph Dumas was born and baptized on 22 Sep 1786 in Saint-Laurent, Île d'Orléans, Province of Québec. His parents were Alexis Dumas and Marguerite Françoise Audet dite Lapointe.[1]
He married Marie Louise Bilodeau, daughter of Jacques Bilodeau and Marie Labbe, on 22 Oct 1811 in Notre-Dame-de-Québec, Bas-Canada.[2]Louise Bilodeau passed away on Sepember 8, 1816 in Québec.
As widower of Marie Louise Bilodeau, he married Angele Côté, daughter of Basile Côté and Marie Anne Chaloux, on 11 Nov 1817 in Cacouna.[3]
He passed away in 1870. [Died on 20-12-1870 in St-Eloi, Rivière-du-Loup county Buried on 22-12-1870 in St-Éloi church. Source: S-34 (1870) register of the parish of St-Éloi (R. René) by (Admin # 1)]
