Sir Alexander Livingston and (?) Dundas had the following children:

  1. Sir James Livingston, 1st Lord Livingston of Callendar
  2. Alexander Livingston of Feldes or Phildes, of Perthshire, Constable of Stirling Castle, Captain of Methven Castle, etc., executed by hanging and/or beheading on Castle Hill in Edinburgh on January 21, 1449/50 for high treason.

“During his eventual career Sir Alexander Livingston filled various offices of the highest dignity and importance, including those of Justiciary of Scotland and Ambassador to England. He died in 1451. By his wife, a daughter of James Dundas of Dundas he had, among other children, two sons, of whom the younger, Alexander Livingston of Feldes, Constable of Stirling Castle, was the ancestor of the Livingstons of Dunipace (extinct 1678).” Executed By James Ii,King,,Scotland(?)

Alexander Livingston (son of John de Livingston and Mentheith) died 1451. He married Dundas. Children of Alexander Livingston and Dundas are: +James Livingston, d. 1467. Alexander Livingston.

Death: 1459, Place: Calder, West Lothian, Scotland. Two sons and two daughters:

  1. James, first Lord Livingston.
  2. Alexander of Phildes or Fildes, in the lordship of Methven, Captain of Methven Castle and Constable of Stirling Castle, who was executed 22 January 1450. His forfeited estate of Phildes was granted to Alexander Napier, Comptroller, for his faithful service as servant of the Queen-mother, when she was treasonably imprisoned by Sir Alexander Livingston, his son James, and their accomplices.(4-429) He had issue, a son, (1) Alexander of Dunipace. He was a member of the Town Council of Stirling in 1527-28. He married Alison Gourlay (_Reg. Mag. Sig._, wr December 1521), and had issue:?
i. David of Bantaskine, died _vitâ patris_, having married Elizabeth Shaw, with issue.
ii. Mr. Alexander of Dunipace and Fildes. He married Elizabeth, daughter of Sir Adam Hepburn of Craigs (cf. ante, vol. ii. 149; _Reg. Mag. Sig._, 24 July 1525) with issue (_Lands and Lairds of Larbert and Dunipace Parishes_, by J. C. Gibson, 1908_.
  1. Janet, married to James Hamilton of Cadzow (Eleventh Rep. Hist. MSS. Comm._, App. vi. 14, 15; cf. vol. iv. 348).
  2. Elizabeth.

Based on these dates she would have given birth to her oldest child (Janet Livingston) at the age of 10. If I try to adjust her birth back to be more biologically likely, I run into her mother's birth year, which is recorded as being only 10 years before hers (Christian Stewart, b. 1379).
