Biography

When Harris Dunn was born in 1797 in Georgia, his father, John, was 25 and his mother, Nancy, was 22. He married Nancy Smith on December 3, 1820. They had nine children in 23 years:

  • Jerimiah Dunn b: ABT 1821 in Pulaski County, Georgia
  • John Dunn b: ABT 1824 in Pulaski County, Georgia
  • Harris Dunn b: ABT 1825 in Pulaski County, Georgia
  • Asberry Dunn b: ABT 1830 in Pulaski County, Georgia
  • William Dunn b: ABT 1832 in Alabama
  • Elizabeth Dunn b: ABT 1835 in Alabama
  • George Dunn b: ABT 1837 in Alabama
  • Marion Dunn b: ABT 1841 in Alabama
  • Jessee (or Issac) Dunn b: ABT 1844 in Mississippi

He died in July 1860 of cancer[1] in Marion, Alabama, at the age of 63.[2][3]
