You added Capt Simon Addis 1745-1832 as Peter Addis's father. This is incorrect, Peter's father is Daniel Addis 1768-1833, son of Capt Simon Addis. I have made the change.

Janet, I have been searching for the Yaap family history in Germany for a long time. It appears you have some information and May fill in some blanks I have for Christian Yaap (1779-2/10/1874)and Sophia Muller Yaap.(1813-1885)
Christian Yaap would be my 3rd great grandfather. I am Walter Dale Yaap’s granddaughter. Our family only knows what he did after coming to the USA. But no records prior in Germany or other relatives there. Any help would be appreciated!
Thank you

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.
Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.
If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.
Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.
