Biography

James Dutton was born in Billerica, Middlesex County, Massachusetts May 5, 1721. He was the son of Thomas Dutton and Hannah Burge Dutton.^[1][2]

James was married on June 28, 1750 in Westford, Middlesex County, to Rebecca Hildreth,^[3] daughter of James Hildreth and Dorothy Prescott Hildreth.^{[4] [5]} James and Rebecca had at least the following children:^[3]

• Rebecca, b. 3 May 1755
• Esther, b. 11 March 1758
• James, b. 21 Feb 1757
