Ruby Duvall Carroll, 80, of Brownsville died at 5:20 p.m. Aug. 25, 2004, at an Edmonson County nursing home. The Edmonson County native was a retired factory worker for Brown & Williamson, a foster grandparent and a member of Bee Spring Missionary Baptist Church and Green River Chapter No. 577 Order of Eastern Star. She was a daughter of the late Gabe Duvall Sr. and Elva Ashley Duvall. / Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Patton Funeral Home, with burial in Dit Vincent Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. / Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Edmonson Health Care Center, Main Street, Brownsville, KY 42210. Survivors include four daughters, Charlotte Hall and Ruth Ann Beavers, both of Louisville, Eileen Kyle and her husband, Don, of Kingston, TN, and Susann Batcho of Youngstown, Ohio; two brothers, Gabe Duvall Jr. of Louisville and Jimmie Duvall of Chalybeate; three sisters, Clorene Miller and Ovalene Decker, both of Bee Spring, and Emma Jean Bullock of Sellersburg, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
