Harriet (Dye) Bunting was a Latter Day Saint pioneer.

Biography

Harriet Dye was born on January 31, 1842 in Wymondham, Norfolk, England. Her parents were Robert Dye and Harriett Coman.[1]

She immigrated with her parents and one siblling to the United States in 1853 with the Joseph W. Young Company.[2]

She married James Bunting on May 15, 1859 in Salt Lake City, Utah.[3] They had twelve children.[4]

  1. Harriet Eliza Bunting was born on May 1, 1860 in Salt Lake City.
  2. Ellen Elizabeth Bunting was born on January 21, 1862 in Salt Lake City.
  3. James Lovett Bunting Jr. was born on February 19, 1864 in Salt Lake City.
  4. Annie Bunting was born on December 15, 1865 in Salt Lake City.
  5. Joseph Willard Bunting was born on July 8, 1868 in Salt Lake City; died March 1, 1870..
  6. James Ebenezer Bunting was born on August 28, 1870 in Salt Lake City.
  7. Robert William Bunting was born on January 7, 1873 in Kanab, Utah.
  8. Carrie Bunting was born on September 22, 1875 in Kanab.
  9. Wallace Owen Bunting was born on December 16, 1876 in Kanab.
  10. Alice Zina Bunting was born on February 10, 1879 in Kanab.
  11. Fannie Bunting was born on May 26, 1881 in Kanab.
  12. Alma Bunting was born on September 10, 1883 in Kanab.

Harriet passed away at an age of 49 on January 26, 1892 in Kanab. She is buried in the Kanab City Cemetery.[5][6]
