Biography

Jemima Paine Dyer was born on 20 May 1765 in Truro, Massachusetts.[1] She was the daughter of Elijah Dyer and Deliverance Atkins. She married Caleb Knowles on 21 Sep 1788 in Truro. .[2]She died on 8 Jan 1796 in Truro.[3]

On November 10, 1787, in Truro, intentions of marriage were filed between Caleb Knowles and Jemima Dyer.[4]

Research Notes

There are actually two Jemima Dyers who were born in Truro born in May 1765 in Truro. One married Caleb Knowles and was the daughter of Elijah and Deliverance Dyer.

The other married Sylvanus Dyer and was the daughter of Samuel Dyer and his 2nd wife Mary Paine. She was born on 29 May 1765. She died 21 Jul 1837 in Truro.
