Thomas Dyer, Sr. was bor n in Pittsylvania Co. Virginia in 1777. Soon after his birth his family moved to Caswell County, N.C. While still in N.C. he married in 1795. He moved to Greenville District, S.C. in 1799. He lived there until 1825, then moved to the state of Georgia. He died in Coweta County, Georgia on Spt. 18, 1839. Washing Dyer was administrator to Thomas Sr.'s estate.
