Biography

Margaret was born 10/11/1919, in Nashville, Davidson County TN. She was the daughter of Stonewall Earp and Georgia Biggs.

When Georgia died and their children were left by their father, James Stonewall, all the children were taken in by neighbors except Ruby who was about a year old, and Katherine the newborn child. Ruby was taken by a family in the Belle Meade area of Nashville. Katherine was taken home from the hospital by Fannie Biggs Binkley, who was Georgia's sister. (((As told to Alene Biggs Corbitt by Helen Aline Earp Binkley, Oldest child of Georgia and Stonewall.))))

1920 TN. Davidson County Census shows Margaret, Female, White, age 3 in her home of origin. HOH is James, male, white, age 27.. Spouse Georgia, Female, White, age 23. Other siblings listed are: Helen A. Female white, age 6. William H. Male, White, age 4. Lucy L. Female, white, age 2. Family residence is 1606 Delta Ave. Nashville, TN.

1930 TN. Davidson County Census shows Margaret listed as the "Daughter of Servant", in the home of Luster Armstrong. Armstrong was male, white age 52, born in TN. He was single, a farmer, and he owned the residence on Morgan Road in Joelton TN. Margaret is age 10. She is still listed as Earp, even though she is referred to as the daughter of the Servant. The Servant was Myrtle Rose, white, female, age 52, born in TN.


She passed away 10/12/2007. She is buried at Woodlawn Cemetery, Nashville, TN. She was age 88.
