Research Notes
Baptism Date: The 02 Jan 1699/1700 baptism date is based on published research by Easton.[1] Gay and Barber reported Sarah's date of baptism as 2 Jun 1700.[2][4] Multiple reporting errors were found in Easton's research while drafting this profile, including the death date of Joseph Drake Jr. (1726) and Sarah's date of death (1741). Joseph's probate was in progress in 1730, [3] so Gay's report of death/burial on 12 Dec 1727 seems more reasonable. Joseph's probate records report widow Sarah's death before 11 May 1730.[3] In light of the reporting errors by Easton, it's possible Gay and Barber's baptism date (2 Jun 1700) is more reliable.
