"Sir Thomas de Echyngham, son and heir, Lord of Echyngham, Knt., married Margaret, daughter of Sir Thomas Knevet of County Norfolk, Knt. Sir Thomas died 15 Oct. 1444 and was buried at Echyngham Church. In his will dated 20 Aug. and proved 28 Oct. 1444, he directs that he be buried in the Chapel of the Virgin at Echyngham. (Inquis. p.m. at Apple-
