Biography
Emma's year of birth seems to consistently be 1849 through the various Census years other than the 1901 Census when her date of birth was given as March 17, 1857. At that time she was living in St. Croix, Hants, Nova Scotia. She was 44 years old and her husband James was 59.
She had married James Croxen on August 1, 1866 in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia (British Colonial America).[1]
