Newpaper article: The McCune Times (McCune, Kansas) 04 November 1882, Page 3, under Mt. Carmel School lists students of "perfect deportment", including Robert's children: Nettie, Minnie, and Johnie Edgecomb (Nettie is perhaps another nickname for Nellie). NOTE: The family lived in Kansas during the 1880 U.S. Census and 1885 Kansas State Census, but it is not yet clear when they moved back to Illinois (certainly before the 1900 U.S. Census).
