Hi David,

Congratulations on making more than 100 contributions to WikiTree for the month of August!

We all appreciate your efforts to make our Shared Tree the best it can be.

Keep up the great work and THANK YOU!!

Hi David,

I see that you have been working on several Chinese profiles. I should tell you that when you add profiles on Chinese people, I suggest that you use Chinese characters in the proper name fields while leaving pinyin and the other romanizations in the other name fields. For instance, look at the profile on ??? (Zeng Guofan) that I recently created. This profile uses Chinese characters in both the official and preferred name fields, while pinyin and the other romanizations are in Nicknames and Other Last Names. See the below link for more information.

If you have any more questions, please post a comment on my profile or send me a private message.

Thanks,

Nicolas

Hi David,

We sent you a message about a week ago about the England Project but have not yet heard back from you. If we don't hear from you by this time next week we'll assume you no longer wish to be in the project.

Many thanks,

Hi David,

On behalf of the England Project Leaders we're carrying out a check-in to see how all the members are doing and taking the opportunity to thank you for all your hard work over the past six months. We have been so impressed with the way everyone has rallied together and gone the extra mile to make this one of the most dedicated, productive and friendly communities on WikiTree. What are you enjoying most about being in the project? What would you like to see improved or changed? Would you like to continue in the project moving forwards?

We're looking forward to hearing back from you,

Amy, Susie, Gillian and Wendy

Hi David,

In follow up to Vivienne’s message, Are you still interested in completing the England Orphan Trail and becoming a full Project Member? Completion of the Trail is necessary for you to retain your England badge and contribute to the project. It’s good fun, only takes a few weeks and adds to the health of our global tree! We will help you with getting to grips with where to find and how to use sources.

Please let me know and I will update our records and hopefully get you started on the trail!

Lizzie, Trailblazer, England Orphan Project.

Hi David

Neither are acceptable sources, they are simply hearsay with no evidence to prove anything. We need primary sources or at the very least solid secondary sources. User trees are tertiary sources.

Have you completed the Orphan Trail with the England Project?

Kind regards

Dear David

Could you please stop creating pre1700 English profiles with user trees as sources. They are not acceptable sources and do not provide any evidence. This is going to create a lot of work for the England Project which I see you are a member of. Thanks Vivienne England Project Coordinator
