Archibald Edmonston had due him 900 a. , by virtue of an assignement for 1000 a., from Mr. Henry Darnall. being a warant granted the said Henry for the said Quantity, Oct3 31, 1713. Capt. Edmonston was therefore granted 900 a. called "Easie Purchase", in Pr. Geo's Co. (Land Office, Liber PL#3, ff. 490-2). Mar. 3 1715 "THIS INDENTURE. . . Between Archibald Edmonston of Prince George's County, in the province of Maryland Carpenter . . . and James Beall of the County and Province aforesaid planter, Witnesseth, that the said Archibald Edmonston for and in Consideration of the sume of Seventy two pounds Sterl in hand paid . . . Hath granted bargained Sold, and Confirmed to said James Beall all that tract or parcell of Land Called Easie Purchase lying and being in prince George's County, Beginning, at a bounded White Oak Standing on the South Side of a Hill near a small branch, in the forke of the Eastern branch of Potmack River & running thence East . . . Containing nine Hundred Acres more or less, together with all buildings houses, Orchards, Gardens, ffences Improvements woods underwoods timber & timber Trees ways passages Easments, appurtenances benefitts profitts and commodityes wt soever . . ."
