Biography

Elizabeth was born about 1708. She was the daughter of Sybil Threlkeld and Sybil's first husband Edward Merritt. Elizabeth married Isaac Edwards around 1725, probably in Bermuda. She is named in her step-father's, Deodatus Threlkeld II, Will and her mother's Will.

Elizabeth died in Albemarle Parish, Surry County, VA.^[1]

Research Notes

Potentially contradicting research has emerged showing another Isaac and Elizabeth Edwards living in Northampton, NC in the mid-18th century. It's not known, at this time, if the Elizabeth Edwards in NC was the daughter of Sybil Threlkeld. [1]
