Biography

Mary Ann Edwards was born in 1816 in Denbigh.

She married Thomas Baker on 11 Aug 1852 in Hobart, Tasmania.

Their son Thomas Baker was born on 14 Dec 1854.

Mary Ann died on 21 Sep 1861 at Hobart General Hospital, aged 45. Her occupation was recorded as servant, and her birthplace as Denbeigh. The cause of death was "ascitis", which can be caused by cirrhosis of the liver or cancer or various other conditions.
