Biography

Phoebe (Edwards) Mace was born in Surrey, England.

Phoebe was born on the 2nd July 1879 to George Edwards and Phoebe Jane Kingsman. Her birth was registered in Lambeth, Surrey, England^[1]. Phoebe was baptised on the 31st Dec 1882 at Lambeth Holy Trinity, Lambeth, Surrey, England^[2]. Phoebe's date of birth is on the original baptism record which can be found on Ancestry^[3].

In 1881 Phoebe lived with her parents and new born sister Florence at 15 Allen Street, Lambeth, Surrey, England^[4]. In the 1881 census Phoebe is listed as Lillian.

In 1891 Phoebe lived with her parents and siblings at 16 Allen Street, Lambeth, London, England^[5]. In the 1891 census Phoebe is listed as Lilley, note also that the Administrative County has now changed from Surrey to London.

Phoebe is not shown living at home on the dates of the 1901 and 1911 census and so far has not been found in the records.

On the 24th May 1911Phoebe married Thomas Mace at St Peter, Ealing, Ealing, England^[6]. A copy of the marriage certificate can be found on Ancestry^[7].

Phoeby passed away in 1961.
