Biography

Mary Elliot was the daughter of Sir Gilbert Elliot of Headshaw and Minto and his first wife - a daughter of Andrew Stevenson, Burgess of Edinburgh.^[1]

Mary married John Elphinstone on 23 August 1703 in Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^[2][3]

Mary died 18 May 1767 at Pilrig near Edinburgh, Midlothian.^[1]
