Our vision is to build a collaborative tree with one profile per person. The farther back you go, it's likely you will find duplicate profiles to link into, so it's a good idea to do a search before you create a new profile.
Do you have Royal Ancestors? If so, they are already here! Please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their already existing profiles.
WikiTree strives to be a fun, collaborative, productive site. It's also different than what many people are used to. Please take advantage of the Help Menu in the upper right hand corner, our G2G Forum and of course, our Mentors :)
Do you have any questions I can help with?

Please note we are trying to build one collaborative tree which means one profile per person. It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add profiles to WikiTree.
If you need any help getting started check out the Help section or head over to the G2G forum. You might also want to check out the introductory WikiTree video that a member created.
Our Mentor Team are a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to help with specific problems if you have any.
Good luck growing your branches, and thanks for offering to help with our shared tree :)
My DNA test showed some mysteries as I never knew I had French in the family, so I have been trying to study that.
I plan to go to Prince Edward Island in the fall to do research there as some of my Scottish family lived there, but the records online are very limited, and also I am searching for the roots of my Irish heritage as I learned that my 2nd great-grandfather was born with the name Sweeney and changed it to Smythe.
I am looking forward to helping out with wikitree. I have entered records in the past with Family Search also.
