Biography
Daughter of John Eli Ellis (1794–1859) & Elizabeth Wright (1804–1885), Louany Elizabeth Ellis was born on March 15, 1823, in Due West, South Carolina. She was the first wife of James R Strawhorn (1821–1903). She died on April 28, 1866, in her hometown at the age of 43, and was buried in Abbeville, South Carolina.[1]
