Oscar James was born 11 Mar 1886 in Worcester, Massachusetts to Ellen Healey and Oscar Ellis. (1)

He died at the age of 4 months, 12 days, on 19 Jul 1886 in Worcester, Massachusetts. He is buried in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. (2) (3)

The cause of death was cholera infantum, "an acute noncontagious intestinal disturbance of infants formerly common in congested areas of high humidity and temperature but now rare." (4)
