Biography
Isaac H. Ellyson was born in Randolph County, Virginia in 1833 to Gideon Ellyson and Elizabeth (Stevens) Ellyson.[1],[2]
Issac married Miranda Carlin (b. 1838 in Harrison County, VA to John and Sarah Carlin) on September 8, 1858 in Barbour County, Virginia.[2]
By 1870, Isaac and Miranda were living in Gilmer, West Virginia with five of their children and Isaac's widowed father Gideon Ellyson.[3] The couple had at least five children, including Ellenora Ellyson (b. abt 1860 in Virginia), Sarah M. Ellyson (b. abt 1862 in Virginia), Emarellis Ellyson (b. abt 1864 in West Virginia), Ira G. Ellyson (b. abt 1866 in West Virginia), and Luther Ellyson (b. abt 1868 in West Virginia).[3]
