Zachariah Ellyson, Junior was born between 1789 and 1794 to Zachariah and Mary (Votaw) Ellyson.[1] As a child, Zachariah was admitted to the Westmoreland Monthly Meeting (Quaker) in Westmoreland, Pennsylvania, with his parents and three brothers.[2]
Notes
From pre-adopted profile:
When Zachariah left his wife and family about 1841, he went to Cass County, Michigan where he met and married Esther Chaffin Talbot (no relation to Mary Ann). Although Mary Ann's tombstone spells her name Ellyson, all of their children except Isaac adopted the 'Ellison' spelling.
