The Bennington Evening Banner 26 Dec 1936, Sat Page 1 OBIT Edward Joseph Ennis Resident of East Arlington Dies Christmas Night at Hospital Edward Joseph Ennis, 74, East Arlington farmer, who had been in ill health for more than two years, died at 7 o'clock Christmas night at Putnam Memorial Hospital. Mr. Ennis was born in Sandgate, March 14, 1862. He received his education in the rural schools of Sandgate and came to East Arlington when a young man and has since resided there. November 1, 1889, he married Ruth Buck of Arlington, who, with nine children, survive. The children are: Mrs. Mary Touchette, Mrs. William Johnson, Mrs. Ernest Bolster, James Ennis, Paul Ennis, Donald Ennis and Henry Ennis, all of East Arlington; Mrs. Foster Thayer of Shaftsbury and David Ennis of Philadelphia. The funeral will be held Monday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Colomban's Church.
