Civil Ann Ennis (Mary Elizabeth Ennis) was born in 1855 in Harnett County, North Carolina, United States. She was the daughter of Walter Ennis and Nancy Munns.

She died between 1878 and 1880 in Harnett County, North Carolina, United States and is presumed buried in the Ennis family burial ground.

Civil Ann Ennis was married to James Elmond Stewart (his 1st wife) about 1873.
