Elizabeth Willis Eppinger was born December 7, 1849 in Cass, Texas. She was a daughter of John Eppinger and Elizabeth Milner.

Elizabeth married William Henry Harrison Taylor on November 21, 1867 in Cass, Texas, United States.[3] Together they had eight children: John Eppinger, James McLeod "Mack", Willis Milner, Elizabeth Milner "Bessie", Mary Gregory "May", Ameretta "Retta", Augusta Rowena "Roe", and Willa Ann "Willie".
