Biography

Per the detailed research by Theodore Epton, this John was a son of John Adam Epting - stating John married Anna Lohner and they had four sons: Jacob, George, Adam, and John.

Originally, John's father was granted land in what was then known as the Saxe Gotha Township in 1749. The area later became known as the "Dutch Fork"[1] and was in Lexington County, South Carolina.

A James Dougherty purchased 100 acres of land on Cannon's Creek which was stated to have been part on a tract sold by John Epting to a Silas Koon.
