Catharina was born in 1739 in Rötenberg. Catharina was the daughter of day laborer Johann Adam Hepding and Christina Barbara, née Osiander. [1] She married (1) Jacob Folk, Sr., and (2) Peter Stockman.
NOTE: The birth year for Elizabeth and the birth year for Catherine is the same, 1739. It appears Elizabeth and Catherine were the same individual. If Elizabeth was born in 1739 then she would have born in Germany before her parents immigrated to the SC colony. Per the research by Theodore Epton, Adam and his wife did not have a daughter named Elizabeth who was born in Germany. (RHT)
