John Evans, of Nantmell Parish, Radnor, Wales. Son ofEvan Lewis, also of Nantmell. His wife Delilah (Unknown) Jones. Delilah & John's children used both the surname "Evans" and "Jones" (from the Welsh patronymic "ap John") which has caused some confusion.
John "Gentleman" of Nantmell, Radnorshire, emigrated to Radnor, Pennsylvania about 1682/3. He was a freeholder of 350 acres of land.
Wife, Delilah, was born about 1640. She passed away in 1685.[citation needed]
