DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Ann by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Ann:
I'm a descendant of Isaac White and Mary Ann Ewell and I think people have mixed that couple up with the Isaac aka Isaac John White who was married to Catherine Lawson. I say this because Isaac and Mary Ann married in 1727 and Mary Ann lived until 1796. So the notion of Catherine being his second wife doesn't fit with the fact that records show she married her Isaac John White in 1740. I've seen a lot of gedcom uploads to the profiles in this family on Geni and that seems to be where incorrect personal tree information is making its way into the connections on these lines. Most sources for Mary Ann and Catherine having married the same Isaac White are just personal trees where people aren't looking at the dates of the marriages, etc. to realize things don't add up for them to have been the same man. He can't have married Catherine in 1740 if he was still married to Mary Ann until she died in 1796. All documents with Mary Ann's husband mentioned only show him as Isaac, never as Isaac John. Case in point:
11 Oct 1727: Isaac White & Mary Ann Ewell. Sec. Wm. Ballendine. Marriage Bonds in Lancaster County. William and Mary College Quarterly Historical Magazine, Vol. 12, No. 2 (Oct., 1903), pp. 96-103.
Mary Ann and her Isaac being written about in the Wiliam and Mary College Quarterly Historical Magazine is just one source of documentation on them. I haven't seen such documentation for Isaac John White and Catherine Lawson nor found them mentioned together in any documented sources.
Ewell-61 and Ewell-57 appear to represent the same person because: Ewell-87, Ewell-61 and Ewell-57 all seem to represent the same person. Likely DOB is 1710. Please consider merging Ewell-61 into Ewell-57.
