JACK N. EWING, 80, b. Mayview, Missouri, Mar, 3, 1901, d. Willows, Jan. 6, 1982.
In 1919 he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the Occupation Forces in Europe after World War I. In 1922 he was discharged and resumed his education in Missouri, and Pullman, Washington. Upon coming to California in 1927 he was employed by the U.S. Forest Service continuously until 1961 when he retired as Forest Engineer.
He was a member of the local Rotary Club and Elks Lodge No. 1786. He was active for some years in Boy Scouting.
Surviving him are his wife Florence, one son Jack, both of Willows; one daughter, Elaine Sundahl of Summit City; a sister Mary Malain of Lakewood, California; and five grandchildren.
