Note: The Schuyler Citizen reported on February 8, 1872 that the names of the students whose average grade is 90 or better included Emma Hoskinson with an average of 96 in the high school. It also reported that Emma had received marks of 100 in punctuality, attendance and deportment.
The RUSHVILLE TIMES on June 6, 1895 reports - George Eyler and George Illman, of Woodstock township, returned from Macomb Monday where they were called by the serious illness of Mrs. Thomas Hoskinson, daughter of Mr. Eyler, who died yesterday.
Emma died of Bright's Disease. She was buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb, Illinois.
