Hi Sylvie,

Thanks for having a Big Heart and adopting Orphan Profiles. You will want to read this After adopting orphans FAQ to understand what to do next and it explains the special attention those profiles need. You may also want to go through the new member help on How to manage your Watchlist.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Hi Sylvie,

Please have a look at your Pending Merges and several requests for LNAB changes to your profiles. Thanks!

Greetings Poland Project member! We have new information and updates:
  • For the last several months, the Poland Project has been undergoing new organization with new volunteers. We are excited about how the project can enhance Wikitree!
  • We have several different task teams that need volunteers. Please take a look at this page to see which one interests you: Volunteer Tasks. Once you have decided which task team you would like to work on, please reply to this comment.
  • The only requirements for ongoing membership in the Poland Project are that you join a team and respond to the periodic check-ins from the Project Leaders/Coordinators. We recognize that people lead busy lives and are grateful for any and all contributions you can make.
  • Once you have joined a team, please join the Poland Project Google Group to receive project updates and participate in project and team discussions. You can also follow Project news via the tags 'Poland_Europe' or 'Polish_Roots' or 'Polska' on G2G.
  • If we don’t hear from you in the next 45 days, your membership badge will be removed. In this case please don't be offended as you're welcome to rejoin at any time. Please also note, that in order to receive help researching your Polish ancestors, membership is not mandatory. Just ask your questions in the G2G forum and tag them with 'Poland_Europe' or 'Polska' in order for our knowledgeable researchers to see them.

Hi!

This is Chris from the Italy Project. As part of the annual project check-in, can you fill in the project survey? This will let us know that you are still interested in the project and which teams you'd like to participate in.

Thanks and have a great day!

Hi,

It’s Germany Project check-in time again! Please respond within the next 2 weeks and let me know if you’re still interested in participating with the Project. Remember, the only requirements for membership in the Germany Project are (1) that you work on at least one German profile every 6 months and (2) that you respond to this check-in.

Since you’re not working with one of our Sub-projects or Teams yet, please look at our main Project page for a full list and let me know which team you’d like to join.

Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message on WikiTree. In your response, we welcome any feedback you may want to give on the project (what you like about it, what you’d like to see us do, what we could change, etc.)

If you ever have any questions, please ask. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Hi Sylvie,

It’s time for our annual Ireland Project check-in! Please respond within the next two weeks to let me know:

  • If you are happy with the team you’re on or if you’d like to make a change. It is now required that all members with an Ireland project badge work on at least one of the project’s team(s), so if you’ve not yet signed up please do so in your reply to this check-in.
  • What you think the project is doing well, and what (if any) changes you would like to see us make? Are there any teams you would like to become more active in?
  • Would you be interested in helping to work on an Ireland Project newsletter?
  • Please give us some feedback on the use of google group and discord. Do you use one or both of these? If you don’t use either of them, what is the best way for us to ensure you receive project communications? If you would like to join us on either one, just let us know in your response and we will get you signed up.

Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message on WikiTree. If we don’t hear from you within two weeks, we will assume you are no longer interested in participating in the Ireland Project, and your badge will be removed. If you wish to reapply for membership later, we will be happy to have you back. Many thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,

Jen Hutton, on behalf of the Ireland Project

Hi Sylvie,

Oh no! Did you miss the Wales Project Semi-Annual Check-In posted below? Did I miss your response?

I hope all is well with you.

Please take a minute to post a reply to confirm you are still interested in the project and wish to remain an active member.

Let us know about your contributions during the last 6 months.

No response within the next 2 weeks will result in the removal of your Wales Project Badge.

You would be welcome to rejoin the project in the future. At such time, review the Membership Requirements on the Wales Project page and then click on the G2G Welcome Post link.

Hi Sylvie,

Wales Project Semi-Annual Check-In

Thank you for being a member of the Wales Project. You may recall membership requires at least one contribution to the project each 6 months. A contribution includes creation of and modification to Wales related profiles.

Have you been able to contribute?

It is recognized some members are active. Thank you for your work. (There is no viable method to determine which members have been active in the Wales Project.)

Do you desire to stay on your current project team(s)? Which teams are you most active in? Are there other teams you would like to join or become more active in?

Also, do you have any feedback on what the project is doing well and anything we could do better in the future?

Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message. I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Stuart Awbrey, Membership Coordinator

It looks like you made an error in the recent profiles you added. Many of the profiles have a link to a MyHeritage site which is for a completely different person. You may want to review your sources to assure that they align with WikiTree Guidelines.

Hi Sylvie,

Thank you so much for all your contributions to WikiTree in the last few months, and especially to the Wales Project. It’s been wonderful to have you as part of the project as we work together to increase the quality and quantity of Welsh Profiles.

You don’t seem to have selected which team(s) you would like to be on. Please have a look at the project page: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Wales and let me know your choices so I can introduce you to your Team Leader(s). Do you have any questions? What can we do to support you? Do you want to continue in the Wales Project moving forwards?

Please can you also private message me your e-mail so I can add you to the Google group.

I see you’re not currently on the Discord server. You’d be very welcome to join us where we have live text and voice conversations which really helps with collaboration. Just let me know and I can send you an invitation.

I look forward to hearing back from you with all the above.

Thanks once again,

Bonjour Sylvie,

Dans WikiTree, nous relions ensemble comme "conjoints" des personnes qui, en principe, on réellement été mariées ensemble. (A quelques rares exceptions près).

Hello Sylvie,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are usually shared by many descendants, collaborating with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or topic. Review the project pages to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.

Can't find what you're looking for? Let me know, and I can make some suggestions! :-)

Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage, or edit. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).
