Margaret was born on 13 August 1884 in Borthwick, Midlothian, Scotland. She was the daughter of James Fairbairn and Christina (Cockburn) Fairbairn.^[1][2][3][4]

Margaret died at the age of about 37 after 1922 in ?Galashiels, Selkirkshire, Scotland.^[5][6][7]
