Ephraim Fairchild was born on August 28, 1713 in Stratford, Fairfield, Connecticut Colony, son of Samuel Fairchild (1683–1761) and Ruth Beach (1683–1722).
Ephraim married Abiah Wakelee (born in 1719 in Stratford; daughter of Nathaniel Wakeley) in Weston, Connecticut. Their children were:
