John Farrow, son of John, was born in Hingham, Massachusetts on Dec 8, 1672.[1]
He married in 1696 Persis Holbrook, daughter of Capt William Holbrook of Scituate.[1] Their children were born in Hingham.[1]
He was a farmer and inn holder and a constable in 1715 in Hingham.[1]
This family removed from Hingham to Freetown, Massachusetts about 1730.[1] In Freeport he bought the land of Thomas Cage in April 29, 1729.[citation needed]
Soon after 1741 John and Persis settled in Windham, Maine.[2]. "John Farrow, said to have been the third settler of New Marblehead (Windham), was a native of Tiverton, Rhode Island.[3] His wife was Persis (maiden name unknown). She and three children: John Jr., Bethis, and Grace came with him.[3]
He had cleared twelve acres of land on home lot No. 29, built a log house, which had rotted down, and he had died before April 26, 1759. [3]
He died about 1758-1759.
