The book by Robert Bruce Dunbar cited above gives no documentation or evidence for the place of birth of David Fausett (or much else of its information). It states Lambton, Durham, England 29 Apr 1747 son of Richard Fawcett [sic] and Elizabeth Brown. There does not appear to be a birth/baptismal record for anyone of this name born this place in 1747 or five years before or after. The origin of this information appears to be an old LDS pedigree chart but there does not appear to be any legitimate documentation found to support this.

Per a G2G thread there does not appear to be a record of this person being from Durham, UK. What is the source of this place of origin? https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/1074768/who-father-david-faucett-1747-1824-born-durham-lived-orange
