John Ferguson was born about 1757, in Bovevagh, County Londonderry, Ireland, the 2nd of 3 children of of William Ferguson and Sarah Smith.[1][citation needed]
At 81, in 1838, he died in Highland, Highland, Ohio, United States.[1][2]Born in 1757. He served as a captain in Noah Aleralianis' Company of the Militia of Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, Colonel James Dunlap, commander. He married Janet Wier: children: John and William. He died February 20, 1838 at Highland County and was buried at Fall Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 9415 Morrow Road, Highland County, Ohio 45133. GM by Will-a-Way Chapter. His name is on a Plaque at the Highland County Courthouse, placed in 1930 by the Will-A-Way Chapter DAR. 119 Foraker Place, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.
