in Grafton, New South Wales, Australia. When he was 41, he married Eva Maude Eggins, daughter of James Eggins and Alice Jane Evans, on 19 Sep 1906[3] in Ulmarra, New South Wales, Australia.

JOSEPH H. FERNANCE.
Mr. Joseph Henry Fernance died at his home at Ulmarra on Saturday, aged 75. He had resided on the Clarence for many years and is survived by his widow and two sons, Allan and Joseph.
The funeral on Sunday was largely attended, Rev. P. H. Bolte, of South Grafton Methodist Church, officiating.
