He was born 4 Jun 1748 in Berks County Pennsylvania. The son of Johann Henrich Fidler (1723-1777) and Maria Magdalena Schauer (1721-1777)

5 Mar 1769 he married Maria Elizabeth Artz. The couple had the following children:
