She married Edward C. Barnard in 1879. Their children were Elsie (Barnard) Barry and Harry Lorenzo Barnard.
They lived on a farm east of Fowlerville until they sold it and made their home with their son and daughter. She had been in poor health for the past ten years.
Lucy passed away on 3 March, 1936 in Livingston County, Michigan followed with burial on 6 March, 1936 at the Greenwood Cemetery in Fowlerville, Livingston County, Michigan.
