Hello Paul,

I hope you're enjoying WikiTree.

Our vision is to build a collaborative tree. Be sure to look for Duplicates before adding a profile, and always include Sources for your information.

The Help Index covers topics you may have questions about.

Our G2G Forum is where many of our generous members help each other out.

Visit our "Weekend Chat". Say hello, introduce yourself and see what other members are up to right now! http://www.wikitree.com/g2g/163485/weekend-chat-all-members-are-invited-july-10-12

Of course, I'm here to help in any way I’m able.

Hello Paul, I am confirming you as a member of the WikiTree Community. Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person. It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add any Profiles to WikiTree.

If you need any help getting started check out the help section from the menu, top left, or head over to the G2G forum and take a minute to introduce yourself in the Tree House, you might also want to check out the introductory WikiTree video that a member created.

Our Mentor Team are a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to help you with specific problems if you have any.

Your volunteer statement was excellent.

Welcome! Marshall

Hi,

I am investigating my family history as a pastime. I am attempting to get everything correct but I have made many errors and the current sate of my tree much less than 100% certain, although it gets better every month.

I have joined wikitree to help others who may use the information I have gathered to help them. I certainly could have used some of it when I started.

If any information is incorrect I apologise in advance. I am trying to check out things I got off others and their reference sources are dubious or non-existent. I will update things as I improve.

Welcome as a guest to WikiTree! We're growing a FREE worldwide family tree, striving for ONE collaborative profile per person. If you would like to help us grow our tree through Collaboration, you can do so by volunteering. You only need to click the volunteer button when you are truly interested in genealogy and want to find or add information about your family. Our volunteer “greeters” monitor each web surfer guest entry in an attempt to keep spammers out and they read each statement made by a guest. So when volunteering, please post a statement, short or long, about how you plan to contribute so that you will be confirmed. If all you want to do is add your own family branch, that's okay! Once you are confirmed as a full member, your profile will become a part of our global family tree, so consider that when you make your decision!

To start:

1. Our Honor Code is a very important part of why our community is such a friendly place to grow your family tree so please take some time to read it.

2. Feel free to ask a question at our G2G forum.

3. Our help pages, menu top right -very useful information.

4. English not your first language? Here is a link to WikiTree Language Volunteers.

Want to Join us? Click the volunteer button and leave a comment here on your profile; include how you can contribute.

Have Fun, Wikitree has been great fun for me!

Marshall, a volunteer greeter.
